Blog Update

I have decided to expand my blog a little bit to include what the Archer is reading and watching (some movie reviews and books I am currently reading). I have included the initial step on the side bar. I have not decided if I am in some way going to write more extended reviews, possibly on a second blog. If I do that, it will be after I finish CPE. I don't have a lot of time to fool with my blog at the moment.

For the time being, my movie reviews will be in arrows instead of stars. Stars are too passe; I'm the Archer...I use arrows. I will not be reviewing simply new theater movies. I am a classic film buff, so I will be seeing and reviewing movies as I see fit. I love old black and white horror movies, so expect to see reviews of those especially.

I am undecided if I want to use an arrow review system on the books I am reading. I am also thinking of including what video game the Archer is playing. Like my friend Nick, whose blog I indeed to create a link to on my sidebar), I am also a Captain Old Skool when it comes to video games, so I may be playing and reviewing more old school 8 bit nintendo games. What do you think? Leave a comment.

I liked the Fantastic Four quite a bit more than that. Oh well.

All things considered...I guess it was not that bad. I just really hate comic book movies. I think it demeans the comic books and the the movie industry.

Oh, I've got to disagree with Kyle on that one. I wanted to walk out of that one in the second scene when I realized that, in the first scene approximately 95% of the plot was laid out. It seems wrong to call it a formula movie, since one would expect that following a formula would produce at least average results. From my seat, the technical term for that film was "oops".

Reviewing old skool nintendo games? What a great idea. Blast you and your quick thinking, beating me to the punch on that one. Foiled again!

I appreciate the cheap advertising on your sidebar there. Goodness knows I can use all the readers I can get!

Well, I was a huge fan of the Fantastic Four comicbooks growing up (Green Lantern was my other favorite). I just felt like the film really did not grasp the nuance of Fan4.
