Roman Ruins

It is sort of an odd feeling to come upon Roman ruins, as you usually don't think about the Romans being in Britain.
These pictures are from the Roman ruins around St. Albans Cathedral, which coincidentally I learned from Roger, who was visiting Westcott yesterday, that he was ordained there. My Seaburian readers remember know Roger.
The Roman wall behind me is still pretty much intact. Romans were good at building things that lasted.
Here's what the signpost said. It tells more than I could about these particular ruins.
