Dive! Dive!
I walked down to the lake today just to poke around. It was overcast but I am trying to intentionally take as much time at Lake Michigan as I can because I will be gone from Seminary and not have a major lake at my disposal anymore.
I was sitting on one of the rocks and watching the Lake. A goodly ways out, up pops what appears to be a stick. I didn't think much about it until it started rotating around. What is that thing?
It went back under the water, so I assumed it was some sort of bird or something. About three minutes later, there was a whoosh of water and up comes an entire submarine conning tower! A little satellite dish pops up from the conning tower and oscillates around. I guess it linked up to the satellite and sent its message, at which point it went back down into the conning tower, and the submarine submerged.
I thought that was incredibly odd. I am guessing it was the training sub from the naval training base up the coast. If it wasn't that, the Canadians are spying on us again.
