The End Cometh...and that right soon

After seeing my (former) roommate from Seminary ordained yesterday in Topeka, I am preparing myself for my ordination to the transitional diaconate tomorrow. It feels really sort of weird to be finally at this point. Our ordination process is, frankly, goofy. Someone once described it to me as "the longest low hurdle race you'll ever run in your life." I am not so sure exactly how low the hurdles are, but I think that is about right actually.

I just realized I am within 24 hours give or take of my own ordination. It just seems sort of odd. I thought I would be nervous or something about now, but it still seems so far away. Maybe I will feel different about it all tomorrow, the actual day of the ordination.

Otherwise, I am looking forward to it. I am sure it will be great. I will keep you all posted with, hopefully, some pictures.
