The Joys of Parish Rummage Sales

So, my parish is having its summer (well, it feels like fall) rummage sale on Saturday to raise some funds for some work on the church grounds. Stuff has been accumulating in the parish narthex for a few days. Living in a rectory right next to "ground zero" has been a dyed in the wool bargain hunter's dream come true.

"Oooh, look at that, I've always wanted one of those."

I have a feeling I am going to be writing a sizable check to the parish on Saturday after my rummaging.

Maybe you could talk to your parish treasurer, and work it as a payroll deduction? ;-)
