Garrison Keillor on Episcopalians

Pretty good stuff.

Personally, I'd modify some of it.

If you're so decidedly "Catholic" in theological orientation, seemingly, in fact, a "high Catholicism". then why utilize (perhaps exploit) words coined by an ecumenical Lutheran -and a World War II martyr at that- whose cherished friends and colleagues included a French Calvinist pacifist, an Anglican bishop and an African-American Baptist seminarian?

The documents of Vatican II clearly recognized that God is still at work in other separated Christian bodies. Being ecumenical is not contrary to Catholic teaching. I have many good friends who are not Catholic.
