In case you missed it Christmas Eve...

I always feel sorry for Titus. Of the entire 3-year/Major Feast Day lectionary, this letter only gets read on Christmas Eve and is always over shadowed by the Christmas story.

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all, training us to renounce impiety and worldly passions, and in the present age to live lives that are self-controlled, upright, and godly, while we wait for the blessed hope and the manifestation of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.

We have been working our way through Paul's letters and everyone has noticed the person of Titus who keeps getting missed or left behind. One of our students came up to me after hearing this reading and was so happy to finally catch up with him!

Have a Merry Christmas Archer.
Merry Christmas to you Pewster!

If it makes your student feel better, the Pope opened him Christmas homily last night talking about Titus.
